Recipe: White Bean Oregano Dip

Makes 4-6 servings 

Protein and fiber found in white beans paired with the healthy fats from olive oil can help increase satiety and help you feel full longer.  Listen to your body’s cues and try this nutrient-packed dip with fresh crudité or pita.  

  • 1 can white beans, drained and rinsed 
  • 3-4 tablespoon tahini 
  • 1-2 tablespoons olive oil + 2 teaspoons more for drizzle 
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon 
  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon salt 
  • 3 sprigs fresh or 1 teaspoon dried oregano  

Pour drained beans into a food processor or blender. Add 2 to 3 tablespoons water. Add tahini, olive oil, and lemon, then blend until desired consistency is reached. Add additional water as desired. Blend in salt and oregano to taste. Serve with olive oil drizzle and fresh vegetables or pita for dipping.
